Job Title: LEHR Inspector

Grade: PE12

Purpose of the Role:

To contribute to the production of quality bottles by conducting prescribed visual and electronic quality inspections with a view to proactively identifying defects and addressing them in line with established rules. on the production line and processing limit samples

Demonstrate a commitment to excellence & living iSanti values. Conduct prescribed inspections in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards and policies. Visual inspections at light screens Hot and cold end coating checks Pressure and dimension measurements Cavity checks, including gauging, physical and dimensional. Routine sample challenges on automatic inspection equipment Check computer monitors on an ongoing basis for findings and types of defects being rejected by automatic equipment. Check cullet belts for type of defects being rejected. Hold defective ware and issue non-conformance as necessary. Inspect defective ware, reporting and escalating as necessary, as well as initiating culletting and dumping in line with rules. Save defect samples for evaluation in line with company procedures. Review job cards, customer complaints, limit samples and quality reports to educate yourself on quality requirements. Ensure proper operation of inspection equipment and take action as prescribed in terms of established rules. Clean equipment and tools in area of responsibility Escalate unresolved equipment and defect problems to facilitate speedy resolution. Participate in problem solving. Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement. Participate in the plant process optimisation initiatives.

Minimum Academic Requirements

Grade 12 (NQF4)

Minimum Experience Required:

At least 2 years' experience in the glass packaging manufacturing industry or similar environment, FMCG or Manufacturing
