A sound understanding of High Court litigation processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Experience in commercial agreements

DUTIES
Drafting, formatting, and preparing court pleadings, notices, affidavits, summonses, and commercial agreements
Managing filing of court documents via relevant court systems and ensuring compliance with court rules and deadlines
Diary management for attorneys, including court dates, consultations, and deadlines
Liaising with clients, counsel, sheriffs, messengers, and court officials in a professional manner
Managing litigation files (physical and electronic), ensuring accurate indexing and record keeping
Preparing and managing trial bundles, discovery files, and pagination
Attending to billing, time capturing, invoicing, and follow-ups on outstanding accounts
Opening, maintaining, and closing client files in accordance with firm procedures
Conducting basic legal research and assisting with case preparation where required
Handling correspondence, emails, and telephone communications
Ensuring compliance with FICA, POPIA, and internal compliance requirements (if applicable)
Performing ad hoc administrative and secretarial duties as required
