We're hiring a Legal Manager for our Labour department in Cape Town who will be responsible for managing and coordinating the functioning of a group of Legal Professionals and Legal Assistants to make informed decisions and solve the legal challenges for our policyholders.
In this role, you'll guide the provision of legal advice, mediation of disputes, negotiation on behalf of clients, and draft important legal documents. The Legal Manager is also responsible for providing general assistance to the Head of Department in managing the performance of the legal department.
In addition to the above, The Legal Managers responsibilities are to ensure that the department functions effectively, that all personnel are highly motivated, know exactly what is expected of them and how to achieve it, are aware of their respective goals and responsibilities and receive guidance and training in fulfilling said expectations.

Salary and Benefits:
R336 000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

What You'll Be Doing:
?Managing and reviewing case files for a team of legal professionals
?Attending to administration functions;
?Reviewing and escalation of files received daily for assessment;
?Attending to complaints and investigations;
?Review and approval of written correspondence;
?Updating and compiling of reports;
?Resolving of legal files;
?Investigate poor performance, and where problems or patterns are identified to remedy same through training and alternative corrective measures;
?Coordinating and participating in meetings and/or training sessions with Legal Professionals where LAW FOR ALL's products, new legal developments, performance discussions or other topics can be discussed;
?Proactively address and resolve conflicts within the team;
?Drive the team to achieve results, maintaining a focus on performance and continuous improvement.
?Following the company's procedures and policies to maintain high standards in all your work.
Qualifications:
An LLB degree
Admitted as an attorney or advocate
At least 2 years post admission experience
The candidate must have a minimum of two years' experience within Law for All (internal)
Experience in mediation and litigation of labour related matters would be advantageous

?Understanding of South Africa's Labour Law regulations and framework
?Ability to communicate effectively in two official African language
