Job Summary About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Legal Intern to join our Legal Department as part of a structured Rotational Legal Training Programme. This internship offers exposure to key areas of Corporate Law, providing practical experience across different legal functions within the business. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has strong analytical ability, and is passionate about developing a corporate legal career.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and draft research opinions on corporate and commercial law matters.
  • Assist with contract drafting, reviewing, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Support company secretarial functions including maintaining statutory records and CIPC filings.
  • Assist with development and review of corporate policies and legal compliance frameworks.
  • Support governance processes including preparation of board and committee packs.
  • Assist with regulatory filings and compliance registers.
  • Prepare legal reports and risk assessments for internal stakeholders.
  • Provide general administrative support to the legal team.
Minimum Requirements
  • South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
  • Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
  • Matric
  • Currently completing or recently completed an LLB degree.
  • Strong academic background with interest in Corporate/Commercial Law.
  • Knowledge of contract law and corporate governance principles (advantageous).
  • Excellent research, drafting and communication skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
