Our workforce reflects the whole of society enabling us to deliver experiences for the whole of society.We are looking for a talented and motivated Legal Counsel to join us here at Sabio.The Legal Counsel will provide timely, relevant and pragmatic legal advice and support to all companies within Sabio Group.This is a 12 month FTC contract.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review and negotiate a range of commercial contracts (including framework agreements, SaaS agreements, confidentiality agreements, purchasing agreements and consultancy agreements) with customers, suppliers, contractors and partners;Undertake contract management duties, as and when required, to ensure that the business has a clear understanding of the contracts it has in force, and the obligations contained within them;Be able to recognise and advise on the salient points of intellectual property, data protection and employment law insofar as they relate to the provision and procurement of IT services;Undertake research on relevant legal developments and feedback to team the team and business;Work with colleagues across the group to implement and manage legal, ESG and compliance processes and practices within the business.Competencies & BehavioursThe Legal Counsel is required to:Be a qualified solicitor of England and Wales (or comparable jurisdiction, with experience of practising under English law);Have experience of providing advice in commercial law;Have experience of working in a fast-paced, in-house environment;Be able to identify legal risks and be comfortable in proposing and discussing commercial, pragmatic solutions to mitigate those risks;Communicate succinctly and effectively (oral and written communication);Be autonomous on appropriate projects and tasks;Organised and self-motivated;Be able to remain calm and focussed when faced with conflicting priorities; andHave good IT skills and be proficient in using Microsoft packages.We envisage this role being suitable for solicitors with around 1-3 years of post-qualification experience.Desirable skills, experience & knowledgeExperience of working within the IT and/or telecommunications sectors;Second European language (French, Spanish, Dutch)BenefitsThis is your chance to join and friendly and passionate team that will motivate you to learn and develop your career in the company.Benefits may includePension SchemeRemote/Flexible workLife insurancePrivate health and dental careCycle to work28 days paid holiday a year- (this includes three Sabio days)LinkedIn LearningPlus many more!
