Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Bookkeeper to manage the full bookkeeping function, including trust and business accounts, in compliance with Legal Practice Council (LPC) regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys working independently.
Qualification:
Matric / Finance qualifications.
Minimum Requirements:
3-5 years' legal bookkeeping experience (Law Firm)
Maintain and manage trust and business accounts in strict accordance with LPC requirements.
Capture, process, and accurately record financial transactions.
Reconcile trust and business accounts on a regular basis.
Administer EFT payments and handle VAT, PAYE, and UIF submissions.
Prepare monthly management reports and compile audit packs
Manage billing, invoicing, and debtor collections.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards.
Proficiency in Legal Suite, Pastel, Aderant, or similar accounting/legal practice software.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Solid understanding of trust accounting and statutory requirements.
