Job Description

Crescent Star (Pty) Ltd is a privately held property and investment company with a diverse portfolio that includes real estate and business interests. The company operates through a select team of highly qualified professionals who provide strategic advisory and management expertise to advance its objectives.
We are seeking an experienced Legal Advisor with a strong business mindset to provide both legal and strategic direction to the company. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and management team, guiding day-to-day legal matters while supporting broader business operations.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • A Experienced Attorney, with extensive term served at Legal Offices, offering a wide variety of legal advice and skills, who would provide direction to the company on matters, on a day to day basis.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to the company, reporting directly to the CEO.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for internal operation, management, and organization.
  • Advise the company on legal matters involving legal definition, regulations and legislation.
  • Prepare legal documents, such as contracts and agreements.
  • Execute necessary legal documents and records.
  • Perform independent legal research, analysis, and report writing.
  • Maintain constant communication with management, staff and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization within the relevant legal and business framework
  • Interpret legal implications, regulations and legislation.
  • Assist in the protection of company assets.
  • Ensure legal protection of organizational assets.
  • Providing expert business advisory and directly engaging with service providers or companies in this regard.
  • Document management and administration of all internal items.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years post-candidacy legal experience.
  • LLB / LLM / BCom Legal, MBA, Masters degree, or equivalent qualification required.
  • Open to self-employed practitioners.
  • Professional experience as an Attorney, Advocate, Legal Advisor, Corporate Lawyer, or Legal Counsel.
  • Valid attorneys license or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Extensive experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory and corporate law.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, with strong analytical and managerial abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Outstanding drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in contracts.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of Islamic Shariah Law (business and private contexts) is essential.
