The Legal Advisor will handle the following in respect of their duties and responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice to support business decisions and operations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Manage legal risks by identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
- Support dispute resolution and litigation processes as required.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address legal queries and challenges.
- Stay updated on legal developments within the technology and telecommunication sector.
- Provide training and guidance to teams on legal and compliance matters.
A successful Senior Legal Advisor should have:
- A degree in law with a specialisation relevant to the technology and telecoms industry.
- Proven experience handling commercial and corporate legal matters.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance within the telecommunication and Information and Technology sector
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be willing to travel within Johannesburg
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
