Lecturing on the Bachelor of Marine Engineering programme. Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience Lecturer:
Masters in either Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. All underpinning qualifications must be in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
At least 2-years relevant teaching experience in higher education and/or 2-years industrial experience in Maritime .
Seagoing Certificate of Competency Class 1 or Class 2 or EOW A minimum of 12 months' sea time after the date of issue of the CO, in rank as 2nd Engineer.
A registration with a relevant professional body is recommended.
Junior Lecturer:
A Postgraduate Diploma /Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Honours) /PG Dip/ NHD /BTech degree in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
At least 2-years relevant teaching experience in higher education and/or 2-years industrial experience in Maritime.
Seagoing Certificate of Competency Class 1 or Class 2 or Class 3. A minimum of 12 months' sea time after the date of issue of the CoC.
A registration with a relevant professional body is recommended.
Important notes:
Preference will be given to an appointment at the higher level.
Successful applicants for the Junior Lecturer post to commit to studying towards and completing Masters within 5 years of appointment.

Assisting with recruitment, admissions & marketing as is reasonably required by the HoD: Maritime Studies & Survival Centre.
Familiarising and incorporating utilisation of the onsite Simulator in training programs.
