Academic route:
A Master of Laws (LLM) degree. At least two years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution.
Professional route:
A Master of Laws (LLM) degree. A minimum of five years of post-admission legal practice. Must be an admitted attorney or admitted advocate.
Duties:
Teach modules in Mercantile and Private Law, which may include: + Law of Persons
+ Family Law
+ Labour Law
+ Insurance Law
+ Contract Law
+ Law of Damages
+ Conflict of Laws
+ Consumer Law
+ Banking Law and Practice
+ Information and Communications Technology Law
Conduct independent research and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students. Publish scholarly work in accredited journals and textbooks. Serve on academic and administrative committees as required. * Perform other administrative duties within the University.
