o PhD degree and Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. Applicants with significant progress towards a PhD may be considered.
o Proven research ability as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and/or research reports
o Registration with the HPCSA in the category of Clinical Psychologist for three years or more
o Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
o Educational background, teaching and research interests in clinical psychology
o Experience in teaching psychology at a tertiary level
Requirements for Senior Lecturer:
o A PhD degree and Masters in Clinical Psychology
o Proven research ability as evidenced by a substantial record of peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and/or research reports.
o NRF rating is recommended
o Registration with the HPCSA in the category of Clinical Psychologist preferably for three years or more
o Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
o Educational background, teaching and research interests in clinical psychology
o Experience in teaching psychology at a tertiary level
This will be a permanent post subject to a three year probationary period.
Responsibilities:
Teach courses in clinical psychology, research methods and/or psychology at undergraduate and postgraduate level; contributions to course-level curriculum development and transformation; academic administration; supervision of postgraduate students; willingness to pursue an active programme of research and research publication; and willingness to participate in the intellectual and public life of the school and university.
