Job Description

The Villioti Fashion Institute is looking for lecturers in garment construction, pattern engineering, illustration and design to join our dynamic team. Potential candidates are required to have a minimum of an Honours qualification in the field of fashion and experience in the fashion industry.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the facilitation of the learning process for designated programmes by: Implementing the programme in accordance with the programme strategy and programme plan of the Academy. Conducting theoretical and practical training sessions in accordance with the standards and outcomes included in the leaning programme Liaising with the Management on all issues related to designated programmes Manage the training and facilitation of all modules for the programme Provide input towards the continuous improvement of programme material. Identifying student support requirements and through liaison with the management structure ensuring that students complete programmes within the designated time-frame Provide relevant student support services associated with programme facilitation and implementation Responsible for Programme Assessment by: Implementing the assessment activities in accordance with the assessment strategy and assessment plan of the Academy. Adhering to the relevant assessment, appeals and RPL policies of the Academy Adhering to the relevant guidelines and code of conduct governing the principles of assessment in the Academy Liaising with Management on all issues related to assessment of designated programmes Completing all relevant student administration associated with assessment including assessment registration forms, assessment records, student feedback reports as prescribed by the Academy. Developing for areas of expertise, assessment tools as per the quality assurance and academic requirements of the Academy. Responsible for Programme Administration by: Completing all relevant student administration associated with programme implementation including registration forms, attendance records, student reports and evaluations as prescribed by the Academy. Completing, recording and filing relevant student administration as per the Academy policies and procedures Coordinating programme evaluation and feedback through the completion of evaluation and feedback reports. Assist with the preparation of relevant information for feedback purposes to the relevant ETQA. Assisting with the provision of relevant information related to the certification of students such as final records of achievement, student progress reports and so forth. Responsible for management of resources by Planning, requesting and obtaining relevant materials, tools and equipment from the designated personnel Keeping record of materials utilized and ensuring the correct use, maintenance and return of materials tools and equipment to the designated personnel Implementation of an internal Quality Assurance System by Adhering to specific operational and delivery areas in accordance with the QMS requirements of the Academy Identifying areas of non-compliance and providing input towards the addressing of identified problems Reporting on the Status of internal quality assurance to management. Liaise with management by Attending meetings if and when required Providing records of activities and progress. Keeping management informed of progress and problems
