Master's degree in Somatology or equivalent field
A minimum of at least 3-year academic experience in Higher Education
Good Communication and Interpersonal skills.
Preference will be given to applicants who are registered for a PhD
Additional Recommendations:
Experience with e-learning
Computer literacy in MSWord, PowerPoint and internet usage.
Proficiency in research or tertiary education instruction will be an advantage.
Experience in curriculum development.
Summary of Duties:
Teaching and assessment of modules/ subjects in the Department of Somatology
Research participation and supervision of research students.
Preparation and development of learning / teaching materials and facilitation of practicals.
Involvement in curriculum development.
Provide academic support to facilitate student success.
Involvement in community engagement initiatives organized by the department/faculty.
Participate in Faculty and University wide activities and functions.
Administrative and auxiliary duties in line with the above functions.
Any other duties assigned by the head of department.
Represent the department as necessary on institutional committees and professional forums.
The successful candidate, if appointed as a lecturer, will be required to complete a doctoral degree within years of appointment
