The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that educates the students across multiple disciplines including Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics, Industrial Psychology (Human Resources Management), Information Systems, Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies (PLAAS), Institute for Social Development, Political Studies, School of Government (including Public Administration) and the Academic Literacies Programme.
The mission of the Finance Department is to offer relevant world-class financial education and scholarship and promote financial literacy. We invite applications for this full-time lecturer post. The candidates must possess a good knowledge of quantitative and analytical finance for commerce, investment, and corporate finance to teach foundational modules on the extended curriculum programme.
The successful candidate will be appointed in the Department of Finance and as part of the Extended Curriculum Programme, and will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Facilitate learning at undergraduate level in quantitative skills for finance and commerce
• Conduct research and publish in quantitative and analytical finance
• Undertake undergraduate and postgraduate supervision
• Provide academic leadership and administration
• Undertake curriculum development and assessment
• Participate in community engagement and outreach

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

• Masters qualification or equivalent in the field of finance or a related field
• Demonstrated extensive experience (at least 5 years) in facilitating learning in the field of quantitative skills for finance and commerce within ECP
