The University of Fort Hare is seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced candidates for two Lecturer positions in Human Movement Science, in the Faculty of Health SciencesLecturer: Human Movement Science (2 posts)Minimum Requirements:

  • A relevant masters degree and registered for a Doctoral Degree
  • At least 1 years experience in higher education or
  • Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning
  • Undergraduate teaching experience in Ergonomics or Human Movement Science
  • Research publications or successful supervision or successful research grant funding .

  • Evidence of postgraduate teaching or supervision experience
  • Evidence of accredited research publications
  • Evidence of successful fundraising for research.

Duties:
  • Participate in research; curriculum design, development, and implementation
  • Teach undergraduate (and postgraduate) modules
  • Meet research publication requirements for academic rank of lecturer level
  • Supervise students (Honours/Masters research)
  • Secure research grants
  • Participate in networking and collaborations in research and/or teaching
  • Participate in mentorship programmes
  • Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching or research
  • Participate in administrative duties in the department
