The IIE's Varsity College, Sandton Campus has vacancies for Lecturers )Independent Contractor) in the School of Education for the following:

Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase Teaching and, Bachelor of Education in Intermediate Phase Teaching.

• Afrikaans First Additional Language (FAL)
• English Home and First Additional Language (HL and FAL)
• Mathematics (Foundation Phase)
• Child Development
• Inclusive Education

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• A minimum of a 4-year BEd degree (either in Foundation Phase OR Intermediate Phase Teaching), plus an Honours (BEd Hons).
• OR Humanities/Arts/Social Science Honours OR Postgraduate Diploma in Education (at NQF level 8).
• The Undergraduate Qualification OR the Honours OR The Postgraduate Teaching Diploma (NQF 8), must include a module on Teaching and Learning/Pedagogy.
• The Undergraduate Qualification or Postgraduate Qualification must include component subjects to at least NQF 6 (preferably up to NQF level 7) xe2x80x93 Afrikaans, OR English, OR Mathematics, OR Psychology, OR Inclusive Education, OR Educational Psychology, as a major.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• School Teaching Experience in component subjects is required.
• Tertiary Lecturing Experience (Ideal).
• Training & Development: 3 years (Required).
• Teaching: 3 years (Required)
