The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa, and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).The IIE Varsity College, Pretoria Campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer: School of Humanities and Social Sciences for the below module:Contemporary World AffairsCompetencies Required:Excellent Communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent Presentation SkillsAssertiveness and dynamismUnderstanding of customer service in educationDemonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactivelyMinimum Qualification Requirements:Ideal:Bachelor of Arts Honours or Bachelor of Social Science Honours in Political Studies.Alternatively:Post-graduate Diploma, Masters (MA/ MPhil) or Doctorate (PhD/ DPhil) in Political Studies.Minimum Work Experience Requirements:Lecturing experience preferably two years lecturing experience in the discipline of Political Studies.Work experience ideally in one or other field related to political analysis, political consultancy, public policy and/or political engagement management, political writing.Working Conditions:Please note that this is an Independent Contractor rolePositions are part-time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00, Monday to FridayCVs should be a maximum of two pagesOn your covering page, please specify your availability to lecture, as well as the subject areas in which you are qualified to lectureProvide a motivational letter as well as certified copies of your transcript(s), qualifications, and IDWhere applicable, details of work permit must be included in your applicationOwing to the volume of CVs received, we may not be able to personally contact all applicants.
