Role Clarification & Key Performance Areas



The Department of Physiotherapy in the Faculty of Community and Health Sciences has a growing reputation as a leading educational provider for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Faculty of Community and Health Sciences is seeking to permanently appoint a Clinical Coordinator and Lecturer within the Department of Physiotherapy.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key responsibility areas:



Teaching of undergraduate physiotherapy modules as per the requirements of the Department. Involvement in clinical supervision in their area of specialisation as well as general supervision. Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research. Engaging in community outreach. Participating in research programmes. Take responsibility for administrative duties within the department, faculty and the university. Developing industry and academic partnerships.

Minimum Requirements



Master's in Physiotherapy. Evidence of research output. Experience in teaching at undergraduate level. Experience in clinical supervision. Registration with the Health Professional's Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Physiotherapist (Independent Practice Category).

Added advantages:

Be registered for their PhD or have a PhD. Have experience in postgraduate research supervision. Be proficient in at least two South African languages. Have a valid Driver's license.
