Description
The successful candidate would be responsible for efficiently executing and coordinating all aspects of lease administration, critical date tracking of lease agreements across all retail portfolio with a good understanding of commercial lease terms. As this role involves ensuring that lease agreements are accurately documented and maintained, and that all parties involved comply with the terms of the lease.
The role requires an individual with personal traits such as, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In addition, they should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as they will be interacting with both internal and external stakeholders. Finally, they should be detail-oriented and have experience with lease agreements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Managing lease and contract agreements and related documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with lease terms and regulations
  • Maintaining up-to-date lease files and databases
  • Responding to internal and external inquiries regarding lease terms and conditions
  • Calculating and processing rent payments, lease renewals, and terminations
  • Drafting of lease agreements and assisting in the negotiation
  • Developing and implementing lease administration policies and procedures
  • Compile Monthly Reports on leasing activity, rentals, operating costs, and other property-related metrics for internal stakeholders.
Requirements
Required Skills:
Excellent Administrative Skills: Strong administrative, organizational, and record-keeping skills are vital.
Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail is crucial for accuracy in lease documents and record-keeping.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for liaising with internal departments, and external professionals.
Multitasking and Prioritization: The ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize workload effectively is critical in the fast-paced retail environment.
Computer literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Google Workspace: Docs, Sheets, Drive proficiency (advantageous)
Teamwork: The capacity to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
Minimum requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in business administration, LLB- Contractual Law (advantageous) or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within the property sector playing a strong administrative role and engaging with landlords in a multi-stakeholder portfolio - essential
  • Experience in leasing or property administration and keeping various tracking sheets updated on SharePoint
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial real estate leasing laws and regulations
  • Ability to work extra time over weekends and afterhours as per operational requirements
  • Own transport (advantageous)
