Our client is currenting looking for a Leasing Officer / Administrator to join their team based in Cape Town,Brackenfell
Role Purpose
The Leasing Officer is responsible for assisting in the administration and coordination of leasing activities in the residential portfolio. This includes supporting lease negotiations, tenant liaison, lease documentation, and maintaining accurate records. Providing support to Client Services Property Manager.
Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure 100% compliance and implementation of Intake Policies and Procedures by consistently following correct leasing and tenant selection procedures and maintain Step Up and POPIA Standards
  • Make available all documentation and forms related to application process such as update application forms, lease documents, house rules and project fact sheet
  • Support the Client Services
  • Manager with market research and competitor analysis
  • Screen submitted supporting documents for potential applicants and make sure that application forms are properly filled and signed by Applicants
  • Forward screened applications to the CSM for approval
  • Recognise and flag grey files and submit to senior management
  • Facilitate MIE checks at on site workshops as well as in the office
  • Make sure approved Leases are signed by both new tenants and CSM
  • Ensure the correct payment methods are captured correctly i.e. debit order tenants on Realpay
  • Facilitate payment of the first deposit
  • Register new tenants on MDA
  • Create a waiting list and update it regularly
  • Manage vacancies by creating a vacancy list
  • Use advertising mechanisms to promote and fil units as soon as possible Submit application stats report to CSM
  • Assist with following up on
  • tenants that have vacated without paying their arrears
???Qualifications & Experience
  • A minimum of a Grade 12 qualification is necessary
  • Minimum 2-year office administration is a requirement
  • 3yrs Experience in Leasing Role Key Internal Contacts
Skills and Competencies
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word)
  • Property management system (MDA, MRI is advantageous)

  • Basic understanding of financial and legal lease terms

Annual salary between R120 000 and R180 000, with benefits incl. medical insurance, pension fund.
