Learning & Development (L&D) Intern

at MSF Southern Africa, you'll play a key role in supporting our L&D team to enhance the skills and growth of our staff, enabling them to deliver life-saving care. This is an incredible opportunity to kickstart your career in L&D, gain hands-on experience, and make a meaningful impact in a globally respected humanitarian organization.

What You'll Do




Support staff onboarding

: Assist in organizing Tembo briefings and mandatory MSF onboarding sessions for new staff every quarter.

Coordinate L&D activities

: Help plan and manage logistics for training programs, regional workshops, and L&D committee meetings, ensuring seamless execution.

Maintain records

: Compile and file training records, scholarship documentation, and data for statutory reports like Employment Equity and Workplace Skills Development Plans.

Drive reporting

: Draft monthly L&D reports, prepare meeting minutes, and compile quantitative data for annual submissions.

Enhance training programs

: Support facilitators during training sessions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and follow up on the Section's training plan.

Empower staff

: Assist interns with Tembo registration, respond to queries, and share critical training information to support employee development.

Here's what you bring:



Qualifications & Skills




A Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus. No prior experience required--just a strong desire to learn and contribute! Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.

What We Offer




Monthly Stipend: R5,000. Benefits: 100% medical aid contribution, transport allowance, and cell phone allowance. Resources: A fully equipped workspace with a computer, internet, stationery, and more.
