Oversees sample taking process and ensures the grading of grain in accordance with statutory requirements
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented team player to join our silo operations as a Grain Grader Assistant. In this role, youll be responsible for overseeing the grain sample-taking process and ensuring the grading of grain is carried out in accordance with statutory and company procedures.
Youll play a vital role in protecting grain quality, supporting logistics, and ensuring that every grain delivered meets our high standards.
Requirements
Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification
Experience in the agriculture sector will be advantageous
Completion of all relevant grain grading courses through in-service training
Computer literate with strong administrative background
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Thorough, precise, and accurate in execution
Clear criminal record
Traceable references
Must be committed to adding value to current responsibilities and continuous improvement
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct grain grading in accordance with statutory and VKB procedures
Oversee and execute grain intake and dispatch administration
Perform general job-related admin functions
Handle and resolve grading-related disputes
Successfully complete all compulsory grain-related training courses
Support logistical and operational efficiency at the silo
Skills Required
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Able to define and analyse problems quickly and effectively
Team player works collaboratively in a high-pressure environment
