Lead Radiation Therapist Arcadia Oncology Centre
Job Description
The successful candidate must be able to:
Manage, lead and develop the radiotherapy team
Must be able to treat patients efficiently and effectively with a good understanding of planning principles
Must be able to treat patients and other staff members with patience and empathy
Must be able to work in a team
Ensure adherence to SOP's and QA processes and procedures
Candidate must be willing to do shift work and rotation work
Must be able to work on the Linac and in pre- planning
Planning experience and understanding is a pre-requisite
Ability to actively run the QA process in the department
HDR treatment and 3D planning experience as well as good problem-solving skills in these modalities will be advantageous
3 years National Diploma in Radiation Therapy
BTECH or Dosimetry qualification or Quality Assurance or Patient Care short course advantageous
Minimum 3 -5 years full-time clinical position post training
Registration in the category Therapy Radiographer with the HPCSA
Fully Bilingual
Own reliable transportation required for compulsory travel
