About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven

Business Development / Telemarketing Sales or Lead Generation Specialist

to drive growth in the

African B2B market

. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and nurturing leads through

cold calling

,

outbound campaigns

, and proactive outreach to key decision-makers.

This is a remote role requiring

strong communication skills

, a self-starter mindset, and a proven track record of working independently in a virtual sales environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct

cold calls and outbound outreach

to targeted businesses in African markets across various industries.

Identify key decision-makers, qualify prospects, and set appointments or demos for the sales team.

Build and manage a pipeline of qualified B2B leads using CRM tools and lead management systems.

Develop a deep understanding of target industries, company pain points, and product/service fit.

Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach messaging and strategies.

Maintain detailed records of lead activity, calls, and conversions in CRM.

Follow up on warm leads generated from marketing campaigns when needed.

Meet or exceed weekly/monthly KPIs (calls made, leads qualified, appointments booked, etc.).

Qualifications:

2+ years

of experience in B2B sales, telemarketing, or lead generation (preferably in African markets).

Strong cold calling experience

with a proven ability to reach and engage senior decision-makers.

Prior experience working in a

remote sales role

with minimal supervision.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (French or Portuguese is a plus).

Comfortable working with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.).

Results-oriented, resilient, and persistent in overcoming objections.

Strong research skills to identify and qualify new business opportunities.

Experience selling products or services to African businesses is a strong advantage.

Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with doing business in

African regions

(West, East, Southern Africa, etc.).

Experience in industries such as

technology, SaaS, logistics, finance, agriculture

, or

professional services.

Multilingual skills relevant to African markets (e.g., French, Arabic, Swahili, Portuguese) are a plus
