Purpose of Job
The role is responsible for maintenance of Sasol Energy Marketing and Sales fuel and lubricants delivery fleet, service vehicles and pool vehicles Ensure compliance to all legal and regulatory compliance related to transportation of dangerous goods All legal and regulatory compliance related to Beryllium workshop, workshop equipment and the fleet maintenance team Provide oversight of fleet maintenance workshops and equipment Developing and executing on the fleet maintenance strategy Leadership of Sasol permanent employees and management of service providers
Key Accountabilities
1.) o Manage maintenance activities by: o Establishing relevant maintenance strategies o Designing work management system o Managing relevant spares strategy o Determining appropriate operational limits of assets and equipment o Leading technical and safety investigations o Maintaining a working environment that is safe and compliant to all legal and statutory requirements
2.) Manage maintenance budget o Align annual maintenance plan with business requirements o Ensure cost effective spend o Ensure cost control o Manage open work orders effectively
3.) Ensure optimal integrity and preservation of assets o Apply Operations Excellence principles o Apply appropriate maintenance strategies o Technical investigations o Root cause analysis o Risk based inspections o Planning for 1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits o Stand in as proxy for Sasol fleet with the department of transport
4.) Service provider management o Ensure contracts are in place with relevant service providers o Ensure use of vendor management approved service providers o Conduct regular service provider performance reviews (SLA's)
5.) Maintenance feedback and reporting o Accurate and on time reporting
6.) Controlling and scheduling of statutory tasks o To manage statutory equipment schedules appropriately o Inform operations timeously of statutory requirements
7.) Legal compliance o Identify relevant legislation, procedures, and policies w.r.t maintenance of vehicles and workshop equipment o Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, procedures and policies
Formal Education
4 year relevant engineering University Degree or B Tech/Diploma
Working Experience
Experience: 6+ relevant years
