What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You'll lead a team of engineers and technicians through the design, development, and implementation of project-specific electrical systems. From concept development to detailed design, you'll oversee specifications, reports, analysis, and compliance, ensuring every deliverable meets high safety and engineering standards. You'll manage work packages, support tenders, uphold configuration management, and play a pivotal role in engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll need
In order to thrive in this role, you'll need to hold either a BTech, BSc, or BEng in Electrical Engineering, plus professional ECSA registration. You'll have a minimum of 8 years' experience in electrical design, ideally within mining, oil & gas, or heavy engineering. Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, E-Plan), system knowledge, and the ability to manage teams and work independently are key. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, along with flexibility and willingness to travel, are essential.
