Lead Content Interviewer/Synthesizer - Journalism/Ghostwriting/Research (Contract) Rosebank/Hybrid
Overview:
We are seeking two experienced Knowledge Curators & Interviewers to help build a cutting-edge, AI-enabled guidance platform. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in journalism, anthropology, and strategic content to extract, structure, and shape expert knowledge from across various life and work domains.
Role Purpose:
You will engage in deep 1:1 interviews with subject matter experts to surface stories, mental models, and insights. Your output will include structured narratives, annotated transcripts, and knowledge frameworks that feed into a digital knowledge base designed to deliver AI-supported guidance.

End Date: 30 June 2026
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth 1:1 interviews with experts across domains such as finance, wellness, personal development, and work.
• Ask insightful follow-up questions to uncover deeper meaning and tacit knowledge.
• Synthesize complex, unstructured conversations into clear and usable formats, such as:

• First-person narratives
• Principles or frameworks
• Annotated transcripts and summaries
• Write and edit content in the voice of the expert.
• Collaborate with tagging and AI teams to ensure knowledge is structured for machine learning.
• Improve and refine interview flows and question sets across different subject areas.
• Support self-submission processes from experts (e.g., audio diaries or written notes) and convert these into curated outputs.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years in one or more of the following:

• Journalism
• Nonfiction writing
• UX or qualitative research
• Ethnography
• Ghostwriting
• Strategic storytelling
• Prior experience engaging with professionals, executives, or experts in knowledge capture or interviewing.
• Proven ability to turn fragmented information into structured content.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Deep curiosity and empathetic communication skills
• Skilled at storytelling, with a published or ghostwritten portfolio
• Strong synthesis skills: able to identify themes, structures, and meaning from complex conversations
• Comfortable working independently and managing ambiguity
• Highly organised and detail-oriented
• Bonus: Familiarity with knowledge management systems, tagging processes, or AI-supported content development
