Purpose of Role





To facilitate organisational development initiatives that promote a high-performance culture, employee engagement, talent management and overall organisational effectiveness while working closely with HR, management, and employees to design and implement OD interventions, align learning initiatives with strategic goals, and foster a positive work environment within Tharisa Minerals.


Role Context




Organisational and Talent Development




Participate in the design and facilitate organisational development initiatives such as change management, team-building workshops, employee engagement programs, and cultural transformation initiatives to enhance overall organisational effectiveness. Collaborate with the broader Human Resources (HR) team and relevant manager to ensure that learning and development initiatives align with the organisation's long-term goals and support business objectives in the mining industry. Work with the broader HR teams to identify high-potential employees, develop talent development plans, and implement succession planning strategies to nurture leadership capabilities within Tharisa Minerals (TM). Evaluate and monitor the learning and development initiatives in order to ensure that they complement the performance management system, reinforcing skill development and continuous improvement. Support the Tharisa workforce through periods of change, recommending training modules and development programs to help employees adapt to new processes, technologies, or organisational structures. Work with subject matter experts and training providers to design and develop effective learning programs that cater to the specific needs of Tharisa employees.

Data Analysis and Insights




Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments to identify learning and development opportunities that align with the organisation's strategic priorities, so as to provide effective recommendations regarding the available training modules and/or programs. Evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives and Organisational Development interventions, using data and feedback from employees and their line managers to continuously improve the relevant learning and development programs.

Employee Engagement and Satisfaction




Develop and implement professional developmental programs to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and overall well-being in the workplace. Champion, in collaboration with the broader HR team, a positive organisational culture that values diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being, by fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment through the implementation of targeted initiatives to address such issues.

Resource Management




Determine resource needs within own area of responsibility to achieve individual role outcomes. Request required assets and resources for the fulfilment of work duties to attain quality work outputs. Use assets and resources optimally within own area of responsibility.

Stakeholder Relations




Engage with all relevant Departments on issues of the area of specialisation, as directed by the Manager. Communicate with internal and/or external stakeholders, where required, to achieve work objectives and to maintain relationships. Collaborate with the Organisational Development (OD) specialist, management and employees to understand organisational challenges, gain insights, and build consensus around OD and learning initiatives, to ensure that all stakeholder requirements are met in accordance with the overarching Tharisa Minerals and regulatory standards and requirements.


Qualifications:




Grade 12 Diploma (NQF6) or equivalent in Human Resources/ Human Resources Development

Job-specific experience:




Minimum of 1-year relevant experience in Organisational Development Ability to work with the full Microsoft suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Experience/Exposure on MS Dynamics F&O, Reporting tools: MS Power BI
