Job Description
Our client is a leader in new, ground breaking chemical technology in the world market, specialising in isotope separation. They currently require a Laser Technician in one of their divisions.The laser technician will form part of the Enlightened Isotope team. The main objective of this role is to work with the team generating a collimated atomic vapor in a high vacuum vessel, operating laser systems, combination of laser wavelengths, irradiation of vapor, TOFMS measurement of enrichment, product recovery, service, and maintenance.Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments.
- Capture date
- Suggest improvements and alternatives
- Maintain the facility.
- Calibrate instrumentation
- Assist with quality control
- Update SOPs
- At least 3 years' relevant experience
- Scientific method orientated xe2x80x93 organised, dedicated, accurate
- Problem solving skills
- Inquisitive
- Attention to detail
- Patient
- Interest in research
- Dedicated
- Willingness to learn and take advice from team members
- Able to work under pressure
- Computer literate xe2x80x93 Microsoft Office minimum
- Good communication skills
- Experience with gas handling (recommended)
- Strong Mechanical background
- Skills in pipe work, pump, compressor mechanics.
