Your mission will be to:We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Laboratory Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing research and development activities in the laboratory in line with the laboratory's overall strategy. The incumbent will also conduct day to day laboratory analysis when required to. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, a passion for scientific inquiry, and excellent communication and training abilities.Responsibilities:
Research and Development:
Design and execute experiments to support research projects, contributing to the development of new processes, or methodologies.
Analyze and interpret experimental data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
Develop and validate new analytical methods and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific literature and advancements in laboratory techniques.Laboratory Analysis:
Perform complex laboratory analyses using a variety of sophisticated instruments and techniques (e.g., chromatography, spectroscopy, wet chemistry, etc).
Analyze laboratory samples according to established methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Troubleshoot analytical problems and optimize experimental procedures.
Ensure the accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results generated in the laboratory.
Troubleshoot analytical problems and optimize analytical procedures when required to do so.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as per laboratory procedures and when required to by Laboratory Management.
Training:
Develop and deliver training programs for new and existing laboratory staff on the new methodologies created by the lab.
Provide technical guidance and support to analysts and technicians when required to do so.Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Adhere to all laboratory safety regulations and quality assurance procedures.
Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, including internal audits and proficiency testing.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (such as ISO, GLP).
Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records.YOUR PROFILEA National Diploma, B.Degree or similar qualification in Analytical chemistry or higher.Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a research and development environment.
Proven experience in developing and validating analytical methods a must.
Experience in training or mentoring laboratory staff is highly desirable.Technical Skills:
Proficiency in a variety of laboratory techniques and instrumentation (specify preferred techniques, e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, ICP-MS, GC, ELISA).
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills a must.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).WHY JOIN US?
