Senior Q-HSE Manager (SADC Region) (JB994)
Kempton Park
R75 000 – R90 000 CTC per Month
 
International freight forwarding and logistics specialist requires the expertise of a seasoned Q-HSE Manager to provide support and leadership to operations throughout the SADEC regions.
 
Responsibilities:
HSE
Define; implement and enforce/ monitor HSE rules and standards, ensuring that they comply with local, international and client/ site specific regulations
Define HSE plans for specific projects and ensure that all operational sites comply
Communicate any and all HSE issues with all stakeholders (Internal and external)
Through relevant channels; ensure that all equipment is maintained/ serviced in accordance with Corporate and local Q-HSE standards and that said equipment is used correctly
Ensure that Risk Assessment Process is done for all non-standard and critical operations
Follow up and analysis of statistics, health and safety reports
Manage monthly HSE meetings
Ensure that all required reports are submitted to Q-HSE Head Office by each region with accuracy and within deadline
Define and implement HSE awareness and training schedules
Perform Incident/accident investigations and implement corrective action
Define, implement and enforce the Waste management plan
Quality
Determine improvement issues in the Quality field and propose solutions to better monitor this
Ensure that the Quality Management System is in line with the international standards, the National requirements and the Corporate and Africa standards.
Define all internal quality rules and standards and ensure their implementation
Coordinate and manage all Quality representative
Plan and coordinate entity internal audits and third-party audits for certification
Assist for the identification of the training needs
Implement ISO standards
Participate in the definition of the Job description for each work place
Control the quality of the services of the subcontractors
Analyse the causes of the imperfections of the processes and propose improvements
 
Requirements:
Degree or NQF Level 7 specific to QHSE
10 + years’ experience in Designing, implementing, and maintaining Environmental and Occupational & Health Management Systems
Relevant certifications with the accredited agencies
Must have expert knowledge of applying local and international legislation i.t.o quality and safety
3+ years work experience in the SADC Region
Experience in the Logistics Industry will be an advantage
Ability to travel throughout the SADC region
