Overview
We are currently assisting our client, a prominent player in the ICT solutions field, in their search for a highly skilled and dedicated IT Technical Support Specialist to join their team at the client site. As an on-site support specialist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive technical support, resolving IT-related issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the client's technology infrastructure. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining high client satisfaction and productivity through efficient and timely resolution of technical problems.
 
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
Proven experience as an IT Technical Support Specialist or similar role, preferably in a client-facing environment.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications (Windows, macOS, Linux, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).
Proficient in troubleshooting network connectivity, internet protocols, and basic network administration.
Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and group policy administration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related support issues at the client site.
Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to end-users, both in person and remotely.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate teams when necessary.
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals according to client requirements and industry best practices.
Set up and configure user accounts, email accounts, and security settings in compliance with company policies and standards.
Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to address hardware repairs and equipment replacements.
Collaborate with IT teams to implement and enforce data backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Maintain accurate records of all support activities, including incident logs, resolutions, and service requests.
Provide end-user training and create user documentation to enhance technology literacy and self-service capabilities
