Role Summary
As a Klaviyo Email Marketing Specialist, your mission is to implement, analyze, and optimize data-driven retention strategies that grow revenue and lifetime value for DTC brands.
You will work closely with Account Strategists, Designers, and Tech Specialists to build and improve campaigns and flows in Klaviyo. You will combine strong technical execution with performance analysis to identify what is working, what is not, and how to improve.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in Klaviyo, and is passionate about turning performance data into smart retention decisions.
How This Role Fits on the Team
This role works closely with the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, who leads the client relationship, sets the overall retention strategy, and manages the creative team.
Your focus as the Email Marketing Specialist is on execution and performance.
You will be responsible for:
Building flows and campaigns in Klaviyo
Running A/B tests and troubleshooting issues
Analyzing account performance and uncovering opportunities
The Account Strategist sets the direction -- you help drive the results through smart implementation and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Execution & Flow Optimization
Build, QA, and optimize lifecycle flows and campaigns in Klaviyo using Figma designs and brand guidelines
Use dynamic content, segmentation, and if/else logic to personalize messaging across customer journeys
Implement A/B tests and adjust campaign logic based on results and behavior triggers
Performance Analysis & Reporting
Analyze Klaviyo and Shopify data to uncover insights on LTV, repeat rate, list health, and engagement
Provide monthly reporting and clear next-step recommendations based on trends, tests, and performance metrics
Identify underperforming segments, drop-offs in flows, or areas of opportunity across the lifecycle funnel
Strategy Support
Support Account Managers and Strategists by translating business goals into specific CRM tactics and technical implementation
Audit accounts for flow gaps, list health issues, or segmentation opportunities
Help shape campaign testing strategies to drive conversion, retention, and engagement
Collaboration & Troubleshooting
Work closely with Designers and Email Techs to ensure quality execution across all assets
Troubleshoot Klaviyo issues and provide platform expertise across the team
Collaborate with integration partners and external platforms when needed

Qualifications & Experience
Required:
2+ years in email marketing, CRM strategy, or retention for eCommerce or agency
Hands-on Klaviyo experience with building flows, testing, segmenting, and reporting
Strong understanding of lifecycle strategy and key metrics like LTV, CAC, and repeat rate
Able to translate performance data into specific campaign or flow optimizations
Experience using Figma to build responsive, high-quality emails
Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and communicating recommendations clearly
Preferred:
Familiarity with Shopify and Klaviyo integrations
Background in lifecycle marketing, growth, or analytics
Experience using ClickUp, Slack, and Google Workspace
