Job Description
A retail convenient store provides 24-hour service offering, with ready-made on the go meals and a full food, beverage and confectionery offering. We are looking for a creative and efficient individually to oversee the convenient food offering and kitchen area. This is a great opportunity for an individual to express their creativity. We are looking for an all-rounder, who is able to cook, complete stock take, management waste and costs, management of the kitchen staff and some one who is creative with food and receipts and has a financial flair. Requirements:
- Customer service orientated
- Stock management xe2x80x93 stock take, ordering and wastage
- Compile receipts and costing
- Cooking and food and confectionery preparation
- Food quality assurance
- Health and safety
- Expertise in making coffee and smoothies
- Food retail experience
- Able to work under pressure and plan for peak times
- Manage promotions and food offerings
- Product placement and merchandising
- Systems orientation for menus, graphics and point of sale
- Flexibility to multi-task
- Ability to manage, motivate, schedule and train hourly employees
- Minimum 3 to 5 years working experience
- Have oversight of day-to-day operations of the food, beverage and confectionery department
- Deliver high quality food service
- Achieve increased retail food sales
- Achieve financial targets and goals
- Develop and maintain customer relationships
- Create a positive environment
- Ensure compliance standards are met
