We're Hiring: Joinery Design & Sales Consultant For Company based in Cape Town

Are you a skilled joinery professional who thrives on bringing ideas to life? Do you love collaborating with clients and turning concepts into tangible, elegant spaces?
We're looking for a Joinery Consultant with a strong design sense and excellent project coordination skills to join a well-established custom interiors company in Cape Town. If you're as comfortable using design software as you are communicating with clients and managing project logistics, this could be your next step.
What You'll Be Doing

• Engaging directly with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and space challenges.
• Developing accurate joinery designs by conducting site visits and reviewing architectural plans.
• Creating detailed, client-aligned proposals and quotes that blend functionality with aesthetic appeal.
• Presenting solutions and closing sales with confidence, professionalism, and design expertise.
• Preparing precise documentation for production teams - including technical drawings, material specs, and timelines.
• Acting as the link between design, production, installation, and procurement teams, ensuring each project runs smoothly from concept to completion.
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously, always hitting deadlines without compromising quality.
• Using industry-standard software (e.g., Winner, IMOS, CAD) for design, layout, and admin tasks.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance project efficiency and improve internal processes.

Who You Are

• A seasoned professional with 5+ years of experience in the joinery, cabinetry, or carpentry industry.
• Proficient in Winner, CAD, or similar design software with a solid understanding of production requirements.
• Highly organized with strong administrative skills and razor-sharp attention to detail.
• A great communicator who can build trust with clients and coordinate smoothly with internal teams.
• Calm under pressure, able to juggle competing priorities and keep projects on track.
• Driven, self-managed, and solutions-focused - you take pride in your work and care about the final product.
• Creative, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a high-quality, client-focused design process.
