We are seeking a
dedicated and experienced Kitchen Assistant
to support daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will be fluent in bothEnglish and Afrikaans
, have prior experience working in a kitchen environment, and be passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food preparation.Key Responsibilities:
Assist with
meal preparation
by washing, chopping, and organizing ingredients. Preparesnacks for children
, ensuring freshness and variety. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Keep the kitchen clean, neat, and well-organized at all times. Managewaste disposal
and maintain hygiene standards. Assist withinventory control
and monitor supplies. Follow allfood safety and sanitation standards
. Support chefs and kitchen staff with daily tasks as needed.Requirements:
Fluent in
English and Afrikaans
. Priorkitchen experience
(dishwashing, cleaning, food preparation, etc.). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to hygiene and safety.Position Details:
