Job Description


Our client, an international Big Pharmaceutical contender is expanding into South Africa. They are looking for a Key Accounts Manager to join their team based in Cape Town CBD.

Summary
The KAM develops and implements key account strategies and achieves sales targets for key accounts in an efficient and profitable way, to secure the position of the company at a hospital & retail level by establishing long-term relationships.

Strategy and Execution

  • Manage the company sales via distributors to achieve sales volumes and market share.
  • Manage distribution and availability of stocks.
  • Market research the assigned territory to identify all business opportunities.
  • Product presentations and detailing.
  • Manage branding activities.
  • Hospital mapping to identify all possible users
  • Manage budget and allocation to ensure that no overspending occurs.
  • Work closely with distributors to build the sales forecast and push sales volumes.
  • Provide analysis and reports on the Sales performance of the distributorsxe2x80x99 sales teams.
  • Monitor volume target & volume growth.
  • Deliver world-class customer services.
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with existing key customers.
  • Search for new accounts & new users.
You will be joining the multinational professional team and working closely with the company management and cross-functional teams worldwide, ensuring alignment and effective communication.

Requested qualifications and skills
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in a sales management role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a sales team or assigned territory, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong comprehension of sales principles and practices, with the ability to establish strategic partnerships with customers across all levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various partners and distributors.
  • Adherence to all local and global company policies and local and international compliance rules.
  • Previous experience in a Big Pharma company is a plus.
Location: Flexibility to work from home, with a few days per week working from our regional (Cape Town) office.
