What we're looking for:
To develop and manage the Independent and Massmart Account, specifically for UMS, Elite Star trading, ATM as well as the Regional Accounts for Eastern Cape and Free State across Independent and Massmart portfolio, ensuring the delivery of budgeted volume and profit. Working with the specific Independent and Massmart Customers to develop an effective Joint Business plan aligning Regional Operational team to ensure execution excellence within Customers. The focus is on driving both customer and buying group engagement. Manage Demand forecasting vs AOP. Deliver on AOP.
Customer
Ensure customer metrics are achieved through negotiation and delivery of regional elements of joint business plan/WCCE
Drive service levels with incremental improvements by working closely with the customer and supply chain teams
Tailored promotional strategy delivered in line with customer expectations and Pepsico framework
Deliver Account 'Must Win Battles' through Account Plans
Execute P.I .effectively
Execute pricing strategy in accounts and execute pack/price architecture changes. Effectively trade at Store level
Grow share, range and distribution in line with specific account targets
Develop regional customer relationships
Manage trade-offs within customers for the greater benefit of Pepsico
Improve Advantage Group Survey results in account base
Create a deep understanding of what is needed to execute account plans at regional and store level. Work closely with ASM and RSOM to ensure this happens.
Promotional calendars updated weekly across customer base with focus on optimized grids when negotiating
Accruals for cash and retro spend to be loaded timeously as well as coding of customer claims
Forecasting to be concluded with Demand Planning bi-weekly and promo updates, amended in forecast
NPD listings to be negotiated timeously with National & Regional Buyers, drive and deliver with OPS within timelines
Managing of cash and retro budgets - monthly reviews of spend to be presented and budgets updated to track YTD spend vs Budget
Negotiating and loading of regional/national deals to be completed on relevant PepsiCo system, timeously
Pricing claims to be resolved as per audit and control timelines
Manage cross functional discussion and planning
Qualifications:
What will qualify you for the role

Relevant tertiary qualification in Business or Marketing
Minimum 6 years relevant experience in FMCG
Strong financial acumen and basic understanding of accounting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
