A global pharmaceutical company has a vacancy for a Key Account Specialist to be responsible for their Hospital Portfolio. Job Purpose:
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key customers to maximize sales opportunities with them and achieve Sales vs Budget for product portfolio.
Main Duties and Responsibilities are:
Achievement of Sales vs Budget: Ensure sales budgets are achieved and business strategies are effectively implemented.
Customer Relations: Develop and maintain long term relationships with key customers, to maximize sales opportunities with them. Conduct effective business reviews on a regular basis and act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant internal divisions.
Information Management and Analysis: Leverage management tools to analyse data on a variety of critical business drivers to ensure effective implementation of the business strategy.
Interpret and manage business information, to implement and finalise the monthly order process.
Strategic Planning: Participate in the annual Strategic Planning Process, to assist with the development of thorough and detailed Business Plans, in terms of brands and channels.
Compliance: Ensure that all compliance elements are effectively implemented and adhered to.
Key relationships and understanding of relevant hospital groups and wholesaler groups.
Relationship with Key Buyers and Stakeholder at the hospital pharmacies
Understanding the hospital business models.
Forwarding of all received Product Quality Complaints, Adverse Events and Medical Enquiries to the relevant person in Quality Assurance/ Pharmacovigilance/ Medical Affairs.
Qualifying Requirements are:
Related Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 3 + years of Hospital experience within the Pharma industry
Effective Verbal and Written Communication
Brand and product knowledge
Strong understanding of the dynamics within the Pharma market
Highly numerate, with strong commercial acumen
Strong attention to detail
Proven track record of performance, with strong relationship building ability
Extraordinary ability to build effective relationships in a short space of time
Computer Literacy - MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Highly self-motivated, with an internal locus of control
Excellent team player, with the ability to see the bigger picture
Embodies Values in all internal and external interactions.
