Our client in the FMCG personal care and gifting sector is seeking a dynamic, driven and highly detail-orientated Key Account Manager to manage major retail accounts and support the rapid growth of their brand across South Africa and export markets. This is a hands-on, hybrid role requiring a strong commercial thinker with a "doer" mentality - someone who can confidently represent a brand in a competitive retail environment.
The ideal candidate should have proven experience working with national retailers, strong numerical and reporting skills, and the clout to influence senior buyers. You must be comfortable working independently, managing your own schedule, and engaging directly with senior management. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving ability, the confidence to challenge inaccuracies, manage merchandising partners and ensure flawless execution.
Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related commercial field (advantageous)
• 5-10 years' experience in FMCG Key Account Management within South Africa
• Experience managing major retail accounts (e.g. Checkers, PnP, Makro, SPAR)
• Strong commercial acumen, forecasting and sales reporting ability
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and administrative accuracy
• Confident communicator able to engage with senior management and buyers
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and retailer systems/portals
• Self-driven, hands-on personality with the ability to work independently
• Ability to travel nationally as required

This hybrid role requires attendance at the Umbogintwini office two days per week, with flexibility to manage the remainder of the workload remotely.
