CCBA is a market leader in the NARTD (non-alcoholic ready to drink market) in Africa. CCBA has an extensive footprint in Africa, employing over 13 000 employees. The focus of the role is to oversee the relationships of the company with its most important clients. Being responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by comprehending their requirements. The ideal candidate will be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers. The person should be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our company's solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction. Key Duties & Responsibilities o Trade Marketing o Manage margin and revenue growth in related channel by applying product categories optimally. o Ensure Channel Strategy is translated into Operational Plans. These plans incorporate the strategic directions for the coming year and addresses programmes by pack and category. o Ensure Channel plan objectives are achieved- growth / profitability o Ensure Channel plans are implemented and activated to the RED role Model. o On ongoing basis workshops with customer regarding their independent business plans and utilises this information in developing future account plans. o Regularly review the progress of trading agreements and take corrective action where necessary. o Set up promotional grid by pack and category, and support DC implementation of the plan. o Manage promotional spend within the promotional framework and annual budgetary requirement. o Monthly analysis of key KPI's performance, for channel o Manage spend within the framework and requirements. o Support the sales teams in selling channel strategies to customer and implements. o Negotiates permanent, promotional and ad hoc space with customer. o Carries out quarterly (or as per agreement) business reviews by customer. o Trade visits with Sales Team. o Ensure the RTM framework is rolled out in accordance with the RTM process o Understand pack margin and pack role per customer in order to optimise RTM. o Utilise market research and analysis such as Infocy scanner data, Global Edge input etc. to formulate programmes and feedback to customer. o Develop, implement and/or manage account specific programmes, promotions and packs as required. o Builds personal relationship with customer o Interacts at all levels within the organisation o Problem Solving and Conflict Handling/Resolution o When issues arise at store level, these are often directed formally back to Sales managers. The relevant KAM will be contacted on a national basis. These issues need to be, and normally are resolved professionally and efficiently.
Skills, Experience & Education Qualifications: o 3 year Bcom/Marketing Degree. Post Graduate studies an added advantage. o 5 years experience (at e.g. Sales Manager level) or equivalent FMCG o 8-10 years industry experience in similar positions within Sales & Marketing.
