Komatsu South Africa has an opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our Mining Business Development team. The position is based in Germiston. The preferred candidate must have 10 years' experience in the open-cast mining environment.

10 years' experience in open cast mining
3 years' experience in a relevant role at the lower tactical level
Job role:
Formulates the goals and objectives for the Capital Equipment Sales & Key Account aligned with the Divisional Strategies
Business Development and Account Management
Interprets and executes tactical plans in functional area
Implements functional area resource & systems
Aligns tactical plans, functional priorities and objectives to approved strategic changes
Devises corrective and preventative plans where deviation is reported for functional area
Submits progress reports on functional area's strategy and tactical plan implementation
Provides input and prepares sections of annual divisional report
Analyses and formulates the Capital Equipment sales & Key Account functions financial requirements
Implements and manages functional area's financial plan and budget
Prepare financial reports
Checks and controls functional area income
Reports any deviations from acceptable governance norms, approved procedures and practices
Plans and prepares tender/bid process & submits documents for purchase of new goods/services
Maintains customer & strategic supplier relationships
Manages contracted services/Service Level Agreements
Resolves on contractual issues, metrics and other related information for own functional area
Resolves contractual compliance issues to mitigate risk
Identifies the impact of potential risk and recommends preventative action plans
Reports all risks identified and mitigation thereof to executive management
Collaborates with the SHE functions in the roll out of SHE events for functional area
Reports on SHE incidents, issues and problems and implements corrective action/policy changes
Complies and submits required OSHA accidents reports
