Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Key Account Manager - Advertising to join our team in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities / accountabilities:

  • Developing and managing long term partnerships with key advertiser accounts
  • Create advertising proposals to drive strategic objectives
  • Drive more revenue spend from key advertisers through adding value
  • Work collaboratively with other teams in the organization to deliver on strategic campaigns
  • Provide insightful reporting to Advertisers with suggestions for future campaigns
  • Achieve and exceed advertising revenue targets
  • Identify opportunities to improve experience of the advertiser
Qualifications and experience:
  • Proven track record of consistently hitting goals and targets
  • Competence in Excel, Powerpoint & Google Workspace
  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diplomas
- If the degree/diploma qualification requirement isn't met, at least 3 years of key account management experience or 5 years of account manager experience/exposure (through projects or responsibilities) will be required. * 5 to 7 years minimum (at least 3 years key account experience)
  • Sales advertising experience
Skills, knowledge and abilities:
  • Account Management experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Digital Advertising & e-commerce landscape
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills (Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Enthusiasm for being a part of an entrepreneurial, start-up environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members within the organisation
  • Ability to work independently to achieve sales targets
  • Ability to identify key advertising sales opportunities and translate these into implementable solutions and action plans
  • Ability to manage and influence teams across various business units
