About the Role

The successful candidate will collaborate with our web development and graphic design teams, monitor website traffic, troubleshoot website problems when they arise, and update websites as necessary.

The right person will have a background in developing and maintaining web applications and be self-motivated and passionate about problem solving.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting with the creation of websites and updating existing web applications for our corporate intranet and group websites
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Creating and modifying content for our corporate communication channels
• Supporting internal and external clients on existing web applications
• Production support through troubleshooting, debugging, and data validation
• Creating and maintaining Microsoft Forms, SharePoint pages and Power Platform apps
• Ad-hoc tasks requested by direct management

Skills required

• Good working knowledge of HTML & CSS
• Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Acrobat
• JavaScript
• Managing and maintaining a CMS (Joomla)
• Great communication skills

Qualifications and Experience required

• Grade 12 or NQF 4
• Additional certification in web development
• Proven working experience in web development
• A solid understanding of how web applications work and best development practices

Experience that would be advantageous

• Building cross-platform web applications
• Google Analytics
• Familiarity with web services, PHP, and additional frontend technologies such as Angular
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms (Power Automate & Power Apps)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Forms & SharePoint (online)
• Knowledge of relational database systems
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization
