The Virtual Agent South Africa, an innovative and rapidly expanding PropTech business, has a permanent vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Junior IT Systems Analyst and Validation Engineer, based in Umhlanga.

The role:

As Junior IT Systems Analyst and Validation Engineer you will be responsible for developing system requirements and related business rules based on Company needs as well as all software testing for design, building code and implementation as specified within the project plan and accordance with defined business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analysis and Solution Definition:

• Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of the organisation and industry
• Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution
• Develops system specification documents and system design specifications
• Constructs "As Is" documentation and formulates solutions and recommendations to enhance the current process
• Responsible for system operations

Technical Recommendation and Testing:

• Leads testing efforts
• Understands and has the ability to run with UAT methods
• Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
• Identifies and communicates required changes to development team

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Commerce or Sciences Diploma, Degree or equivalent

Knowledge and Skills:

• Formal or Informal Systems or Business Analysis Training advantageous
• Knowledge of BABoK and PMBoK
• A minimum of 2 years' experience implementing systems and running with projects independently
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in testing or testing knowledge and background is highly advantageous
• Experience in working with database management systems
• Experience working with SAAS is advantageous
