Job Description

Westmead - A Junior Vacuum Forming Machine Operator is required to support production activities within a manufacturing environment focused on automotive components. Our client operates in a structured factory setting, producing formed components to strict quality and safety standards, with an emphasis on operational efficiency and skills development.
The Junior Vacuum Forming Machine Operator will assist with the setup, operation, and monitoring of vacuum forming machines to produce components according to specifications.
The role involves handling materials and moulds, inspecting finished parts for quality, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The successful candidate will support senior operators while developing technical and mechanical skills. This position is suited to an individual looking to grow within a production-driven manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up vacuum forming machines
• Operate machines under supervision according to work instructions
• Load raw materials onto machines
• Remove and handle formed components safely
• Load and unload moulds as required
• Inspect finished parts for defects or inconsistencies
• Identify and report quality issues to supervisors
• Monitor basic machine performance during operation
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and surrounding work areas
• Follow production schedules and output requirements
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times
• Use and maintain personal protective equipment
• Assist with basic machine care and housekeeping tasks

Remuneration
R12,000 - R14,000 per month
