Job Description

Our client, who developed a financial wellness and inclusion platform that allows employees early access to already earned wages (EWA), is looking for a junior UI/UX Designer to join their Stellenbosch-based team.
Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in UI/UX design
• A tertiary qualification in Design, Creative Arts, or a related field is advantageous

Key skills:

• Experience creating design solutions for digital products or services.
• Expert in industry-standard design visualisation and prototyping software (i.e. Figma).
• Highly conceptual thinking in both visual and interactive design.
• Understanding of front-end development principles and execution.
• Experience of conducting evaluative research as a way of validating and improving your design solutions.

Designer Responsibilities:

• Ensure designs align with company branding and user experience objectives.
• Provide design assets and guidance to developers to ensure accurate implementation.
• Concept and collaborate with our Project Teams
• Challenge the norm, continually proposing new ideas and rationalising them internally
• Design user interfaces for web and mobile platforms with a focus on user-centric solutions.
• Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design comps.
• Ability to work productively in an agile/scrum setup.

Other:

• Must live near Stellenbosch.
• Own reliable transport (advantageous)
