Our Client in Kuils River / Brackenfell is looking for a Junior Trader.

Position Summary: As a Junior Trader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and accurate execution of trades for our valued clients. You will work collaboratively with the trading team and maintain clear communication with various stakeholders to support the smooth operation of our trading activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in execution.
  • Familiarity with trading and risk procedures is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in trading software and systems.
  • Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced and dynamic market conditions.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Trade Execution Management:
  • Execute orders on behalf of clients, ensuring precision in booking and reconciliation of daily trades.
  • Maintain and manage the complete trading book, overseeing all related activities.
Communication with FX and Trade Partners:
  • Engage in daily communication with FX and Trade partners to facilitate seamless trading operations.
Client Allowance Management:
  • Oversee and confirm client Allowance pins, ensuring alignment with banking partners.
General and Administrative Support:
  • Review and assist the team in addressing general and administrative issues relevant to the trading team's operations.
Adherence to Trading and Risk Procedures:
  • Strictly observe the firm's trading and risk procedures to uphold compliance and mitigate risks effectively.
Problem Resolution:
  • Actively engage in resolving any deal-related problems, fostering a solution-oriented approach.
Client Communication:
  • Use Chat messaging services to communicate returns and relevant information with clients in a clear and professional manner.
Client Onboarding Assistance:
  • Contribute to the client onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for new clients.
