Join Lactalis at our Ice-Cream Plant in the engineering department with the main responsibilities to ensure that all maintenance equipment is lubricated and serviced for optimal efficiency with minimal down time and product plan is achieved.
Required Skills

• Must have Matric or equivalent

• Trade tested and qualified as a millwright is

• Must have a minimum of five (5) yearsxe2x80x99 experience post apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical maintenance preferably from a fast moving consumable goods

• Must have a valid Code 08 driverxe2x80x99s

• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, stand-by, public holidays and

• Proven background and demonstrated techniques to facilitate Siemens/SCADA PLC fault finding is

• Exposure of / or background in a dairy production environment will be

• Knowledge of handling ammonia and reparation of refrigeration systems would count in your

• Exhibit prior working knowledge, demonstrate practical methods and execute joint problem solving and root cause analysis techniques with all levels of staff.

• Proficient in operating a computer and above average skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook & Microsoft.

• Conduct routine plant maintenance of industrial machinery and facility services

• Provide prompt technical support to production in the event of a breakdown and undertake to conduct routine maintenance outside normal production that cannot otherwise be done in normal dayshift

• Conduct unquestionable fault finding and recommend solutions within good

• Safeguard that the plant is up and running and repaired promptly to ensure that production plans are

• Coordinate regular plant inspections, escalate findings to the appropriate department and conduct fault finding where and if need be.

• Assist the production and laboratory department when and if required from time to

• Ensure efficient operation of plant services and assist with periodic internal and external audits when and if need

• Record and log accurate readings of various service/municipal equipment and flag any discrepancies

• Comply with company hygiene rules, Food Safety/HACCP standards and

• Comply with safety standards as legislated in the Occupational Health and Safety Act and any Site safety policies and

• Maintain confidentially of intellectual material such as but not limited to recipes, ingredients and new
