Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for a Junior Surveyor to join their opencast mining operations based in the Northern cape.Responsibilities:
- Help with daily surveys of pits and stockpiles to assist in tracking production and managing ore placement.
- Peg out drilling layouts, blasting areas, pit edges, and locations for infrastructure as instructed.
- Carry out pickups and as-built surveys of mining features such as benches, haul roads, dumps, and ramps.
- Handle the setup, use, and care of surveying instruments and tools.
- Download and process survey data, ensuring its accuracy for use in volume calculations, reconciliations, and reports.
- Keep detailed and organized survey records, logs, and secure data backups.
- Grade 12
- Diploma/Degree in Mine Surveying/Geomatics or equivalent.
- 3 years' experience in the mining industry.
- Exposure to drone surveying and data processing would be advantageous.
- Valid Driver's License
- Salary: Negotiable
